MANAGEMENT TEAM
ERIC J. BARASH is President and Chief Executive
Officer of the Company. Mr. Barash founded and operated General
Interlease Corporation ("GIC") from 1983 to 1996 when
GIC was sold to First Sierra Financial, Inc. Mr. Barash developed
a highly successful commercial finance company which acted
as the financial arm of numerous manufacturers and distributors
nationwide. From 1996 to 1999 Mr. Barash was the Senior
Vice President of Marketing for First Sierra. In 1999 he formed
Performance Capital, a financial solutions provider to customers
of manufacturers and distributors as well as financial institutions
nationwide. The Company provides leverage guidance to SMB's nationwide.
Mr. Barash is a partner and director of Brewco Marketing Group, LLC, the successor company to
Brewco Motorsports, Inc. which fielded two full-time Nascar Nationwide Series teams.
Mr. Barash has served as Vice President, Secretary and Director
of the Eastern Association of Equipment Lessors, as Florida Regional
Chair of the United Association of Equipment Lessors and on several
committees of the Equipment Leasing Association. Mr. Barash is a
graduate of Long Island University, C. W. Post College with a BS
in Economics and Marketing and has a law degree from the University
of Miami.
MARTIN SHAMES is Executive
Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr.
Shames served as Group Vice President, Chief Financial Officer &
Treasurer and Director of Master Lease Corporation, a major national
small-ticket, vendor-oriented equipment leasing company, from 1981
to 1988. Since that time Mr. Shames has been a principal and co-managing
director of Kropschot Financial Services, a leading financial services
advisory firm, where he was directly involved in the sale of more
than 25 equipment leasing companies (including GIC), prepared valuations,
fairness opinions and residual valuation studies on leasing companies.
His clients have included international, national, regional and
community banks, independent leasing companies, captive leasing
companies, vendor groups and investment bankers.
Mr. Shames has a BS degree
in Economics and Finance and an MBA in Accounting from New York University and was a member of the Advanced
Management Program at Northwestern University.
